How do I book a room in the room block for the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort?

Our wedding room block is now closed, but there are still rooms available through the Valetin Imperial website. If you did not reserve a room, our travel travel advisor Brittney can still help you book your stay by emailing brittney@averytravelgroup.com. Follow this link for a map of the resort.

What is included in my All-Inclusive resort stay?

(Almost) Everything! Unlimited access to 7 restaurants, 11 bars, free wifi, room service, fitness center, tennis court, live music, activities etc.!

Are children invited?

We love your little ones, really we do! However we respectfully request no children at the reception. The Valentin Imperial is an Adults-Only 18+ resort.

Is there a dress code at the wedding? At the Valentin Imperial resort?

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting cocktail attire dress code for the evening wedding. Wear whatever color you would like, but please do not wear colors typically reserved for the bride (white, cream ivory). Please note the evening will be fully outdoors on both grass and concrete. The average weather in Cancun in April is a high of 88°F and low of 74°F with little rain, constant breeze.

How do I get to the wedding venue, Villa La Joya?

We will provide transportation to and from the Valentin Imperial Resort on Sunday, April 10th. The venue is a private residence and does not allow parking. If you are staying at a different resort, you must arrange transportation. There are many taxis in Cancun, and your resort should easily be able to arrange you a ride. The pick up time from the Valentin Imperial is TBD. The wedding begins at 5 PM.

How do I get to the Valentin Imperial resort from home?

A passport is required to enter Cancun, Mexico. Wait times due to COVID are up to 18 weeks (4 months!). APPLY NOW. Most airlines require your passport to have 6 months of validity remaining (October 2022+ expiration).

How to Apply for A Passport (state.gov)

Most major airlines fly to Mexico. The closest airport to the Valentin Imperial resort is Cancun International Airport (CUN). A negative COVID test is NOT required to enter Mexico. A negative COVID test IS currently required to re-enter the USA. The resort provides free COVID tests before departure. More details below.

After you arrive in the Cancun Airport, you will be greeted by a transportation company to take you to the Valentin Imperial. The car ride is ~30 mins. If you are staying at a different resort, you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport.

You must email Brittney brittney@averytravelgroup.com your flight information, so she can schedule your pickup and departure transportation.

Are there COVID-19 restrictions?

Currently, you must wear a mask on the plane and in all airports during travel. A negative COVID test is NOT required to enter Mexico. The resort is requiring masks when walking through the lobby and walking through the restaurants. A mask is not required at the pool, beach, or other outdoor spaces. Our wedding is fully outdoors, and the venue does not require masks. If you feel uncomfortable, feel free to wear one.

A negative COVID test IS currently required to re-enter the USA. The Valentin Imperial is offering free ANTIGEN testing on the property. You will schedule a time upon check-in within one day of your departure from Mexico. The results will be emailed and printed for you prior to leaving the resort. The test needs to be done within one day (not 24 hours) of departure. For example, if your flight is at 2:00 PM Monday, April 11th, you need to schedule a test any time on Sunday, April 10th or on Monday morning. Valentin's testing is open 9 AM - 5 PM daily.

The Cancun airport has been extremely slow since the new COVID protocols were implemented. Arrive to the CUN airport at least 3 hours before departure to ensure enough time to get through check in and security.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP 'no' so that we can plan accordingly. If you already booked a room at the Valentin Imperial through our travel advisor, Brittney, the following dates and cancellation policies apply -

Prior to December 21, 2021 - Full refund

Prior to January 19, 2022 - One night room rate forfeit

Prior to February 20, 2022 - Two night room rate forfeit

No refund after February 21, 2022
